Q&A

1. My role as Casual Employee at Expect A Star is to:

My role as a casual educator is to always try my best to maintain a positive relationship between the children and staff while the permanent staff is away. I do this by continually giving my best support to the children and staff. I am passionate about my work & enthusiastic educator. I always try my best to get engaged with the children (any age group) .I am constantly interacting with them and trying to answer their questions and helping them during the day. I maintain a certain decorum in the centres. I try to keep asking questions to the permanent staff as often as possible. I prepare ahead of time for activities if I know which classroom I would be working in.

2. The best thing about my role is:

I get to go to different centres and get to meet with various age groups of children and educators from diversified cultures. I get tremendous exposure to work with various age groups and I bring into practice certain idea/ activity which I like about in a particular centre in another centre. I get to carry out small group activities. I am also asked in centres to talk to the pre-schoolers about my country on International Day/Harmony Day last week since I come from another country. It gave me immense sense of pride. I sometimes visit the same centres and that’s how I get to build up relationship with the children and staff. The best thing about my role is that I can have a right work life balance which helps me to pursue my hobbies & interests too at the same time.
