In partnership with Gowrie NSW, Expect A Star is hosting a training and development session for early childhood teachers and educators across NSW.

In the Early Years Learning Framework, intentional teaching is seen as being a way of working with children and families that is “… deliberate, purposeful and thoughtful” (p.15).  However, what does this really look like and mean in practice?  How can educators be thoughtful about what they do and why they do things? What are the core meanings of this word ‘thoughtful’ and how can these meanings be used in our work with children?

This workshop will unravel these kinds of questions and offer participants tools for understanding how ‘being intentional’ can enhance and actively promote children’s learning through the planning cycle.

The facilitator for the session in March is Nicole Tytherleigh. Nicole has extensive experience in the early childhood sector, providing professional learning and combining quality pedagogy and operational aspects to achieve excellent spaces for children and families.

This session will contribute 3 hours of NESA Registered PD towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
